Local Businesses and Restaurants Going Green

By Rebecca Harper May 31, 2016

The terms eco-friendly and green-living are not new ideas in our society.  The conservation and preservation of our natural resources is a duty that most people believe is important and many have begun to make positive changes to embrace these principles.  One small thing that we as consumers can do to help this cause, is to support local businesses who are taking positive steps to go green.  Here are just a few in a growing list of businesses and restaurants in the Houston area who are going green and some of their green practices:

  • Implemented a recycling program that includes recycling cooking oil, cardboard, and fluorescent bulbs.
  • Reduce waste by donating partially used amenities to local shelters.
