The Banff School

By Jorge Martinez August 9, 2015

The Banff School is a cross-cultural, non-denominational Pre-K through 12th Grade private school located in Northwest Houston at 13726 Cutten Road. Banff equips their students with a college-preparatory education in a stimulating environment which enables them to become independent, creative thinkers.

Low student-teacher ratios coupled with an experienced teaching staff allows them to help students realize their full potential. Their overall goal is to achieve academic excellence for all their students.

The Banff School mission is to provide a safe, nurturing, and academically challenging environment for each student to realize his or her fullest potential.

An outstanding quality of Banff is that they have small classes, usually 15 students or fewer.  The teachers know the students and their families personally and are able to adjust instructional styles to meet the needs of those students.  They strive to create an atmosphere where students feel at home and free to explore.

The curriculum is rigorous in all levels, and at the high school level, students have the option of taking the core academic courses as honors, AP, or Dual Credit.  We evaluate student achievement and mastery of objectives in the fall, winter, and spring.

Banff students are encouraged to balance academic pursuits and visual and performing arts pursuits. Students could study piano, art, and musical theater as part of the regular curriculum. Performances and art exhibitions are scheduled regularly throughout the school year and align with units of study within the academic curriculum.
